E-Commerce Marketer

 

The world’s most popular international aid & development web media brand – Devex – has an opportunity for a web-savvy marketing professional who knows how to drive sales and leads through e-commerce.

 

Do you know how to identify audience segments and build an e-commerce strategy?  Do you have experience using marketing automation platforms to drive lead generation?  Are you passionate about global development and able to develop creative marketing approaches that will energize our community?

 

Devex is seeking a bright and driven professional with solid e-commerce and lead generation marketing experience, and strong project management skills.  This is a full-time staff position available in our Washington, DC office.  There’s lots of room for growth and compensation is competitive.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Primary Responsibility: Lead Generation

 

  • Fully own the conversion funnel on Devex.com, including all analytics and reporting
  • Use tools (Marketo & Salesforce) to identify potential sales leads and develop sales funnels
  • Lead creative team for developing optimized landing pages and conversion campaigns
  • Write and work with writers to prepare copy that leads to conversions
  • Help guide U/X development from an e-commerce perspective
  • Work with sales team to identify high-quality leads and pass them on to sales

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • 3-5 years e-commerce marketing experience
  • Undergraduate degree in marketing or related field
  • Previous experience in lead acquisition and qualification
  • Superior analytic skills and fluency with performance data
  • Extreme attention to detail and organization skills
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead creative talent

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Strong technical skills including HTML & CSS
  • Experience with pay-per-click advertising and direct email
  • Experience using marketing automation systems, particularly Marketo
  • Knowledge of CRMs, particularly SalesForce
  • Experienced blogger, tweeter, video producer and slide creator
  • Passion for issues in global development and a global mindset

This is a full-time position available in the Devex Washington, DC offices.
