Manager, International Fundraising, High Value Partnerships

Summary

 

The Manager, Member Resource Coordination (MRC) High Value Partnerships plays a critical role in connecting newer/smaller Save the Children (SC) Members with international programs to support Member fundraising efforts and drive revenue growth.  S/he will develop, strengthen and manage relationships with SC Members and other accounts as needed to achieve fundraising objectives with a primary focus on corporate and foundation donors.  S/he will manage SCUS high value fundraising activities for the Member Organizational Development Approach (MODA) program, support Global Corporate partnerships, and serve as account manager for Sojo, a complex internet start-up corporate partner.  S/he will work with Save the Children International (SCI), SC Members, SCUS HQ departments and Country Offices as needed to generate funds to support program globally.  The Manager ensures compliance with MODA, bilateral and Sojo agreement obligations, including management of financial, programmatic, operational and legal processes and reporting. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage current SC Member accounts; develop new SC accounts; manage Sojo account
  • Coordinate management of SCI components of Global Corporate Partnerships outside of theUS
  • Plan and implement strategies for proactive outreach, cultivation and solicitation based on SC Member interests, procedures and deadlines and alignment with SCUS programs & priorities
  • Support Member capacity building needs, identify funding needs, pitch concepts, develop proposals, conduct due diligence and negotiate and manage grants and contributions.
  • Ensure compliance with MRC, MODA and bilateral commitments to Hosts, ex-Hosts, other Members and Sojo per agreements
  • Provide input to MRC strategic planning and reporting; support budgeting and reporting processes
  • Coordinate, share knowledge and support capacity building with SC Members, internal SCUS departments, SCI, COs and Sojo to achieve growth objectives
  • Support the administrative needs of the unit; backstop for other members of MRC when necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in business, marketing, international development or related field; 3-5 years directly related experience
  • Experience in account management
  • Experience working in an international context
  • Experience bringing people together across countries, organizations and/or functions to develop partnerships, overcoming differences in approach/opinion/perspective to attain agreement.
  • Superb networking, teamwork, negotiation/conflict resolution and interpersonal/diplomatic skills with the ability to manager multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial drive; ability to work autonomously, including proactive planning, prioritizing and execution
  • Strong analytical, financial and organizational skills including budgeting, tracking and analysis; detail-oriented & flexible
  • Strong computer skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially excel and power point
  • Ability to travel overseas if required
