Objective of the project:

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to Egypt´s economic and social development by enhancing an integrated multimodal freight transport system and improving service delivery at East Port Said Port Authority.

The specific objectives of this contract are as follows:

a) To support the Port Authority in developing a plan for the optimum use of the port related logistics and  industrial zone (33 sqkm);

b) To assist the Port Authority in developing an optimum infrastructure plan to match future demand.

c) To enable the Port Authority to constantly monitor and update the land use planning to cope with new developments both in terms of shipping and logistics trends and other determining factors.

Qualifications required:

Available for a total of 50 working days, this expert will advise on the types of investments needed to develop the port according to the type of infrastructure as well as the target investor groups to promote the port.  

Qualifications and skills

Qualifications and skills

• Master university degree in economics/ Business Administration, Finance or similar;
• Excellent communication skills, both in written and spoken English;
• Knowledge of Arabic would be an additional advantage.

General professional experiences

• 10 years international experience in PPP projects;
• Experience related to port zones and/or Free Zones would be an advantage.

Specific professional experience

• 10 years of experience in international marketing of PPP projects and in preparing and managing PPP tenders;
• Proven experience in preparing bankable projects;
• Proven experience in negotiating with investors and closing deals;
• Professional experience in the Middle East would be an advantage;
• Proven training skills.
