Project Summary

The Asian Development Bank plans to invest US$50 million for flood management in various river basins in Indonesia. Initial information gathered by the Development Executive Group indicates that planned activities may lead to opportunities in drainage rehabilitation as well as capacity building in watershed management and disaster preparedness.

 

UPDATE, 19 December 2008: Actual bank investment amounts to US$100 million. A project information document is already avaialable for this initiative.

 

UPDATE, 13 December 2011: The Bank is scheduled to approve the project on 14 June 2013.

 

UPDATE, 03 February 2012: A second periodic financing request for a proposed loan and technical assistance under the flood management project is expected to be approved on December 12, 2014.
